Band Camp Notes

Athens Band Health & Emergency Form
Students will need to complete and return the Health & Emergency Form (Form #4) to be eligible to participate in camp. You will NOT be allowed to attend camp unless all of your forms are turned in and payments are up to date.

MEDICATIONS DISPENSING
One first aid person will be with the band at all times while at camp. All students will have their medical/physical forms on file. The first aid person will collect all medication at camp arrival time, and will dispense this medication as necessary to the students.

CABINS
Students will be housed in bunk beds in dormitory-type cabins (approximately 24 per women’s cabin & 12 for men’s cabins). Each cabin will be under the supervision of two chaperones, who will be directly responsible for the students in that cabin. Students are expected to behave appropriately and maintain a degree of order and cleanliness in the cabin and its surrounding area.  (See Form #7 for cabin-mate selection.)

DINING HALL
The camp staff at orientation will discuss Dining Hall procedures. Breakfast, lunch, dinner and an evening snack will be provided each day. The students must eat at each meal to keep up their strength and health. Students are expected to be at all meals and other activities on time. (See special dietary requirements on Form #7).

RECREATION
The leadership team plans activities for everyone. These activities are to help students relax, enjoy each other's company and have fun. Activities may include a pizza party, a volleyball tournament, swimming, hay rides, bonfire, etc.
