erformances include winter and spring concerts. Participating in festival varies year to year, pending instrumentation.
PERCUSSION
This course takes place 1st semester and all percussionists are enrolled in the course, then move to their respective band class for 2nd semester. All percussionists will perform throughout the bands at the winter concert, our percussion chamber ensemble is organized through this class, and we spend the first semester working through most of our marching band music as well.
CONCERT BAND
Open to all students in grades 9-12. Performances include winter concert, band festival (pending instrumentation), and the spring concert. Literature is more advanced, and many students participate in Solo & Ensemble.
COLOR GUARD
Students who are in our color guard have the option to participate in this 1st semester course. It's a great way to work on your marching band choreography, and prepare for winter guard auditions.
SYMPHONIC BAND
Open to all students in grades 9-12. Performances include winter concert, district & state band festival, and the spring concert. Private lessons are strongly encouraged before admittance into this ensemble. This is an advanced-placement style class performing collegiate-level music and all students are required to participate in Solo & Ensemble. Chamber ensembles are organized through Symphonic Band.
JAZZ ENSEMBLE
