After creating this video, we added in Max Baikie (Class of 2020 drummer who will be attending MSU in the fall for jazz studies). Max recorded his drumset track on top of the trumpet ensemble file to help you stay in time.

How to participate:
1. Choose a part and practice it. Try to stick to the music provided below. We're well aware that there were many "interpretations" over the years, but it will sound good if everyone plays it as written! If you'd like a REAL challenge, record all of the available parts on your instrument!
2. Using garage band, set the tempo to 140 bpm (4/4 time), and record yourself playing Championship. I recommend using headphones to have the tempo locked in, then press record. It will give you one measure to prepare, then the piece will begin. If you'd like, you can download the Max Championship MP3 file and practice with that inside of Garage Band. Just remember to set it to 140 bmp- it will automatically go to 120 and won't sound good.
3. Listen to the recording, and once again, double check that it is as perfect as possible!
4. Click share, export to disk, choose mp3, then email your file to Mr. Cable: acable@troy.k12.mi.us.
5. Also in the email, send Mr. Cable a photo from you in the Athens band, your graduation year, and anything else to add! We will add in everyone's picture and graduating class list throughout the video.
6. Mr. Cable will confirm with you that your submission works, then wait for the final product!
THANK YOU FOR PARTICIPATING!
