Form 9 Uniform Responsibility Agreement

I understand that I am responsible for the care and maintenance of my uniform and equipment during the school year. This will include the cost of cleaning and minor repairs of this uniform equipment while it is in my possession throughout the school year. I am aware that I can hem the uniform for proper fitting, if necessary. However, I cannot cut or remove any material from the uniform or I will be responsible for full replacement costs.

Cleaning Fee: We are asking for $8 cleaning fee per CONCERT uniform only NOT marching band uniform. Guard has no cleaning fee. At the end of your band career with Athens, you do not have to return your uniform cleaned. Although, if you need a new size during your band career, you will need to bring the uniform dry-cleaned before exchanging sizes.

The $8 fee for the CONCERT UNIFORM should be put in an envelope with your name and "CONCERT UNIFORM FEE" written on the envelope. Drop the envelope in the TABB box in the band room.

Although if there are any lost or damaged parts, the replacement costs are listed below.

            Guys
            You are responsible for the purchase of your own white pleated wing-tip tuxedo shirt.
Also, you must wear black dress shoes and socks.

            Girls
            You must wear appropriate black shoes and black nylons with your dress.

This completed form must be submitted before your uniform fitting.
NO ONE WILL RECEIVE A UNIFORM WITHOUT THE REQUIRED FORM.

Director will announce fitting dates at rehearsals and via email.
Your student will be fitted with a uniform in July or August. Uniform Responsibility Agreement (Form #9) must be completed. You will be receiving a free competition shirt, but if you want an extra, or family members would like one, please complete The Athens T-shirt Competition Order (Form #8) and pay TABB the appropriate cost based on the number of extra shirts ordered.

OTHER UNIFORM COSTS:

If gloves get really dirty/worn/lost, you may purchase a new pair for $5.
Marching shoes need to be purchased directly through Band Shoppe.
Guard members also purchase shoes. Fitting and cost details to be announced.
Tubas purchase a black beret (or inherit one from graduating senior)
LONG black socks (if forgotten, will be charged $5 a pair)

Uniforms cannot be permanently altered, but if the sleeves or bib pants are too long they can be adjusted using the factory installed snaps. DO NOT CUT ANYTHING.
Marchers wear the competition t-shirt and shorts under the uniform. We recommend black, form fitting thermal underwear (like Under Armour, North Face, etc.) as weather gets colder. Please no pajama pants, jeans, etc. that may “peek” out of the bottom of the uniform.

CLEANING THE UNIFORM:
Keeping the uniform clean is very important. Crystal Dry Cleaners, located at the NE corner of Rochester Rd. and Square Lake is used by many.

GUARD MEMBERS:
All uniforms are the property of TABB and must be returned to TABB at a date TBD. You will be given a uniform later in the season. Dance shoes will be necessary and the cost will be made available at a later date. Other items may be necessary at your cost including: undergarments, cosmetics, and hair styling products. You will be receiving a free competition shirt but if you want an extra, or family members would like one, please complete Athens T-shirt Competition Order (Form #8) and pay TABB the appropriate cost based on the number of extra shirts ordered.
