Band Camp cannot take place without the assistance of parent chaperones. Being a camp chaperone is a rewarding opportunity. Most chaperones attend camp for the full week. But there are some options to attend for half a week. We have currently reached our maximum chaperone limit. However, if you are interested in being listed as an alternate chaperone, or are interested in being a camp chaperone for next year, then please submit Form #6
Duties of a band camp chaperone:
Check in students before departing Athens
Be in Cabins to ensure smooth setup of students bunks
Keep students on schedule (wakeup, meals, practices, lights out)
Monitor students to make sure they eat and are hydrated
Assist in day and evening practices and activities, patrol all areas
Run errands and perform various duties
Morning igloo and daily cooler assignments
Inspect cabins daily and final inspection at end of camp
If you are interested in chaperoning at Band Camp, please fill in the information below and submit. No experience is necessary.
After submitting form #6 Band Camp Chaperone, please print out the TSD Volunteer Form.
All parents who may volunteer at any time, for any reason (even outside of band) in the school system from July 2019 through June 2020, should complete this form. Turn in this form along with a copy of your Driver’s License, in a sealed envelope labeled ‘TSD Form’, to TABB or directly to your child’s school office.
